Why Thunderbolt?

"Thunderbolt" is a portmanteau of "thunder" and "lightning bolt," since usually, the two phenomena are paired: we see the lightning first, and the thunder follows. I figure this blog takes a similar path: I get a flash of inspiration, and the entries that follow are for anyone listening to hear.

Or maybe, it's just because the domain was snappy and available. Who really knows?
